Australian police seized the country’s largest haul of cocaine aboard a fishing boat that had broken down near the coast of Queensland, arresting 13 people alleged to be part of a drug-smuggling syndicate.

Australian authorities have seized 2.3 tonnes of cocaine off Queensland’s coast, making it the largest cocaine bust in Australia's history.

The Colombian navy has intercepted a semi-submersible vessel packed with cocaine in the Pacific Ocean, as part of an operation in which hundreds of arrests have been made. It said the vessel had enough fuel to sail to Australia,

The Colombian Navy announced it intercepted six “narco subs” containing more than $8 billion worth of drugs in an international mission involving 62 nations, of which the United States was included, that was conducted over a six-week span.

The operation resulted in the confiscation of more than 1,400 tonnes of drugs, including 225 tonnes of cocaine and 1,000 tonnes of marijuana.
