"Really great neighborhood store. Joe was very helpful, as well as another woman who knew a lot about plumbing. Great store and staff."

"I had a horrible experience at this \nestablishment. I can not even express how rude the staff was. They also made a rude and inappropriate comment. They have also been extremely rude to my 10 year old child. Overall I do not recommend coming to this location. They should be ashamed."

"We go to Zettlers because it's local. We are frequent customers. I'm working on a project and I needed a can of white spray paint. I sent my husband the twenty minute drive down to zettlers and he purchased a can of DoIt spray paint. The can would not spray no matter what we did to try to find a resolution. So I sent my husband back today to exchange it for another can and the manager (Jordan) refused. He fiddled with it for a few minutes and was able to get it to spray. My husband understanding how important this project was for me to get it finished today, went ahead and purchased another can of paint ($17) because he knew if he came home and I couldn't use the original can of paint I was going to be upset. So when my husband got home and explained the situation I was dumbfounded. I called the store and talked to Jordan who again refused to exchange the can of paint. He basically said there's no way he could resell it so he wasn't taking the loss. He ssmaid he was able to get the can working. I tried to use the can and it took everything i had to make our spray. He also told me that the owner Mike would tell me the same thing and that the owner would also not exchange the can of paint. \nNow I know from experience working in customer service that the last thing a manager should do when you have an upset customer is to tell the customer that the owner would not do anything different. The last thing a manager should do is to not find a resolution for the customer. A simple exchange was all we wanted. Instead we are out over 2 hours plus the$5 can of paint that basically went in the trash and the additional $17 we spent for a working can of paint. Beyond disappointed. The teenagers that work at this store always treat is with respect, Jordan could take some lessons."

"My favorite hardware store!!!!! Even being acquired by ACE really didn't change them at all!"
I saw a couple of you tube videos (from different people) who had bad comments about the Stihl HP Ultra 2 cycle oil. One of them concerned an insufficient amount of oil film in the crankcase. (That person fixes chainsaws). I have had a Stihl chainsaw go bad on me that had minimal hours on it...
I bought my first new saw and it worked great for the first year, but a year later the bar no longer gets oil. The oil pump is pumping oil just fine. If I take the bar off and run the saw I can see oil comming out, but if I put the bar on the oiler just deposits oil to the interior of the saw...
I have a Stihl GT225 string trimmer that will only run for 15 seconds or so. It will run a little longer if I keep the choke full on. And significant amounts of raw fuel is being blown out of the exhaust. Replacing the carb with a new one did nothing. The fuel line and return are clear and...
My MS290 had develop a condition where at times it is impossible to pull the recoil; as if the saw is locked up. This is when I try to pull fast to start the saw; you can pull the recoil slowly through each compression stage. Taking the plug out the saw pulls normally. I have been given a...
The Stihl dealers will sell the 290 with a 16, 18, or 20 inch bar, for $349, $359, or $369. Also, the specs show that the head on both brands weighs 13#. Given the names (Farm Boss and Rancher), it seems that they are intentionally targeting the other brand.
Not sure how much interest there is here in top handle saws, but I've spent a few years working in the Stihl 192T series and some on the new 193T. Let me know if there is interest and I'll post details and pics about rebuilding, mods, fixes, and model differences.
I received this from one of our volunteer trail crew with the complaint that it would barely run. New air filter, sparkplug, OEM carburetor, cleaned spark screen made no difference. Valves were a bit loose but adjusting them also made no difference. Pulling the rope feels weak even for a 4-mix...
Just how different an animal is the 440 Magnum, from the 10mm 044? I'll do my best to document another project! Clearly there's some interchange. I already know the bore is 2mm larger @ 52mm. 1st pull reveals a desperate need for a decomp. I look forward to checking squish and throwing a wheel...
