I also cant play DVDs on my computer and I don't know why. I have read that I have to buy Windows Media Center in order to play DVDs or download an app from the Windows Store but I cant get into the store.
The strangest part is, I downloaded it on my Xbox Series X, so I can play it there, just not on PC. Any way for me to let the store (on pc) know I already purchased it?
Try resetting the Windows Store cache by following these steps: > Press the Windows key + R on your keyboard to open the Run dialog box. > Type "wsreset.exe" (without the quotes) and press Enter. > Wait for a few seconds until the Windows Store resets itself, and then check if the Movies & TV app is working correctly.
