Bumbo seats - yay or nay — The Bump
WEBJul 11, 2013 · I was going to get one, but then stumbled on all these anti-bumbo articles and blogs on the interwebz. Apparently a lot of physical therapists/child development experts hate it. I decided to not risk it, though I'm sure occasional use is totally fine. I figure babies have been getting along just fine without it for years, so we will too.

WEBApr 8, 2011 · February 2011. You can use Lysol wipes or Lysol spray, but be sure to later wipe it down with a damp (plain water) washcloth to remove the chemicals left by the Lysol. Bleach is actually a great alternative--if used in the proper dilution, it's very safe and can even be used on eating surfaces or to disinfect bottles!

It's a lot of fun, but I just wanted to make double sure that everyone knows that if anything it makes bath time a bit harder... it's very very bobbly.
Ingenuity seat vs Bumbo - The Bump
WEBdeviduke412 member. July 2015. I personally don't like the ingenuity seat. My best friend has one for her daughter and it's a lot bulkier and is a harder seat. We have a bumbo and so does my SIL. Everyone I know with a bumbo has gotten a lot of use out of it. Just personal preference. Report. puccagirl77 member.
bumbo vs summer infant seats — The Bump
WEBDD loves the summer infant seat. the seatbelt and the saucer/tray seemed a lot safer to me than the bumbo. Plus, the summer seat comes with toys that are removable for when baby doesn't quite get how to reach out far yet. Also, its cheaper than a bumbo and I think it can be used longer after a bumbo could be.
Are Bumbos waterproof? — The Bump
WEBIt works great, it's soft, and you use less water than putting LO in a big tub or shower. While this is a nice idea, the bumbo says specifically on the side to not use in the bath/shower. I think you're not supposed to do it. Pretty sure Bumbo says not to use in the tub.

What is the weight limit on the Bumbo? — The Bump
WEBaabreu32. April 2011. I received two Bumbo chairs from DH's cousin (w/o packaging). Anyone know if there is a weight limit? I tried to put DD in the chair last night and I could barely get her back out of it - I guess she is too big - or her legs are too chubby! So no more Bumbo. She is a little over 19 lbs.
